The house
Jurakán does not borrow a storm. It is the name the storm already had.
01 — Name
In the islands of the Caribbean, the Taíno spoke of Jurakán: the spirit of the great wind, the force that rearranges a coastline in a night. When the Spanish arrived, they carried the sound into huracán. English smoothed it once more, into hurricane.
The meaning never thinned. It is still an unstoppable force. Not destruction for its own sake — pressure, direction, the refusal to be still.
02 — House
The atelier sits in San Juan. The ambition does not stop at the shoreline. Jurakán is a global clothing and sneaker house in the company of the great ones — precise, limited, and unwilling to explain itself as a local souvenir.
Tees, hoodies, pants, headwear. Weight you can feel. Cuts that hold a silhouette.
Sneakers built as objects, not uniforms. A color, a last, a reason.
Small drops. No quiet restock. When the eye passes, the piece is gone.
A flame of a J: sharp tip, an eye in the crescent, a gust at the tail. The symbol leads. The word sits where a label sits — small, exact, bottom right.
03 — The coming weather
That line is not a threat. It is a schedule. Pieces arrive the way weather does: announced, then sudden, then memory. If you want to be in the room when the doors open, the list is the only door that stays unlocked.
